Printing Veteran Simek Joins Toledo Ticket Co.
For example, from seventh grade through high school, he was an inserter and worked for Newspaper Production, a division of the Shreveport Times and the Shreveport Journal.
In April 1977, Simek went to work at M.L. Bath Co., There he started in the plant making rubber stamps, and later learned to run a couple of the presses and to set type on the Ludlow and Linotype machines. He was promoted to print sales and eventually became plant manager.
In December 1987, he joined Southland Printing Co., where he would become a Sales Manager and Outside Sales Representative.
